What Tools Does Payza Provide to Secure My Account?

Payza provides three features for you to increase the security of your account: an avatar, a custom message, and a Transaction PIN.

You are required to create a Payza Transaction PIN when you complete your Payza account profile. Your Transaction PIN must consist of 4-8 numeric characters.

The avatar and custom message are optional.

What Is My Payza Transaction PIN Used For?

You will use your Transaction PIN to authorize most actions in your Payza account so it is important to choose a secure Transaction PIN.

Your Transaction PIN is an important line of defense against attackers and it will be used to authorize most actions you will take within your Payza account. It is important to choose a secure Transaction PIN.

How Do I Change My Payza Transaction PIN?

You can change your Payza Transaction PIN within your account.

CHANGING YOUR TRANSACTION PIN

1) In your Payza account, click on your name in the top left part of your account.
2) Select "Transaction PIN".
3) Enter your current Transaction PIN, then enter your new Transaction PIN and confirm it.
4) Click "Update" to save the information.

How Do I Reset My Payza Transaction PIN If I Forget It?

RESETTING YOUR TRANSACTION PIN

1) In your Payza account, click on your name in the top left part of your account.
2) Select "Transaction PIN".
3) Click "Forgot your Transaction PIN?".
4) Complete the security requirements to prove your identity.
5) Enter a new Transaction Pin and confirm it.
6) Click "Send" to save the information.

How Do I Create an Avatar and Custom Message?

ADVANCED SECURITY SETUP

1) In your Payza account, click on your name in the top left part of your account.
2) Select “Advanced Security Setup”.
3) Build your avatar using the options available.
4) Edit your custom message to the right of the avatar.
5) Enter the Transaction PIN you created when completing your profile.
6) Click on “Set Up Security” to save.

What Are My Payza Avatar and Custom Message Used For?

If you opted to create an avatar and custom message, you will be greeted by them every time you log in. These security features confirm that you are on the authentic Payza login page.

What Is 2-Factor Authentication?

2-Factor Authentication is a security measure that can be enabled in the Advanced Security settings within your Payza account. This security feature uses your smartphone or connected device to provide an added layer of security.

When 2-Factor Authentication is enabled, you will receive a security code on your smart device whenever you attempt to login to Payza. You will be required to enter this code to access your account.

2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

When your account is protected by 2-Factor Authentication, you will be required to enter a security code on the Payza login page that will be sent directly to your smart device. This is the strongest level of protection Payza currently offers.

How Do I Set Up 2-Factor Authentication?

You can set up 2-Factor Authentication for your Payza account in the Advanced Security settings section of your account. You must complete the set up using the Google Authenticator (GA) app.

SETTING UP 2-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

1) In your Payza account, click on your name in the top left part of your account.
2) Select "Advanced Security Settings".
3) Select “Level 3: 2-Factor Authentication” and click “Set Up Two-Factor Authentication”. Instructions will appear on the screen to help you complete the following steps.
4) Install the Google Authenticator (GA) app on your mobile phone or tablet.
5) Scan the QR code you received after completing step 2 to pair your Payza account with the GA app. This QR code can be scanned though your mobile device or you can enter the code manually.
6) Upon completing step 4, you will receive a verification code in the GA app. In your Payza account, enter the code where it says “Verification Code” in the Two-Factor Authentication Setup window. This step will synchronize your smart device with our system.
